About the BCIT Tech Collider

The BCIT Downtown Campus Tech Collider is a new initiative to support tech industry events and matchmaking opportunities with students, student innovation projects, and lifelong learning.

Dually inspired by a modern sound stage and a Star Trek bridge, the Tech Collider is outfitted with state-of-the-art technology – from an immense gesture-controlled screen to digitally windowed industry room – to make hosting events and showcasing new tech easy. The Collider also stocks an innovation centre of 3D printers, VR/AR equipment, and prototyping tools for student projects and industry collaborations. Boardrooms and meeting spaces are available for industry usage in addition to the main Collider hall. If you’re interested in booking an event or exploring a BCIT student collaboration, please reach out to Holden Beggs or James Rout.

The Collider will be a central spoke for industry events and student learning in downtown Vancouver. And the Downtown Campus team is delighted to host the Black Women in Tech Storytelling Evening as a critical step towards better equity and diversity, and a first showcase of the Tech Collider. Please enjoy the evening, company, and discussions shared.
